I was getting irritated with the stuffiness of “Artists” and thought it would be fun to get simple, with just plain paper and the line. So I’ve been playing with Sharpie and collage. Cutting and pasting, with layers and different kinds of stories embedded in the leaves.

Basic. The concept has to win.

That’s what I learned from my work at Design Kompany. One idea that comes from the heart will drive the good stuff.

So I looked into my heart. And there, I saw the new theme emerging. Metaphysics.

Quantum mechanics meets consciousness, like when you jump off a cliff in the Himalayas and have no idea what’s going to happen—but it doesn’t matter and you’re floating, like a “scoop of air.” A painting professor told me if I wanted to paint something, I should write about it first. So, alongside Wavular I have a four volume eBook series, Kismuth. Two are published. Flight of Pisces and Kanishka will be in March and June 2013, respectively.
